I had hair transplant surgery one year ago.in the consultation they stated you may lose some hair around the grafts. I ended up losing most of the hair I had in the grafted area. This was devastating. I gave Dr. Giannotto the benefit of the doubt, and assumed it would grow back within a few months. After one year, I don't think it will be growing in. I'm going to him now for more laser treatment to stimulate growth, but have seen nothing happening. I also have a much bigger scar than what I expected. I have since talked to other doctors, and have found that the "shock loss" can be avoided when doing this procedure. It's his methods that are questionable.
