Fairview Veterinary Animal Clinic Underhanded sales tactics at this Animal Hospital

In an economy such as we have at the present time money is tight for many people. That doesn't seem to bother the staff at this hospital. I was mislead about the charges for my three dogs. When I called this clinic I asked the female representative how much it would cost for a rabies and distemper shots for each of my dogs. I was informed that they had a package deal where all of that was covered for only $36.00 for each dog. When my wife and I arrived at the clinic the woman behind the counter said that she was the one who had answered the phone when I called. She asked me if the dogs were going to get their shots, a stool sample and be checked for heart worms? I told her that if it was included in the special package she told me about then, yes, I guess so. While in the exam room Dr Annah Terry told me that my dog had an ear infection. When I asked her what I could do to help my dog with that she proceeded to show me a bottle of some kind of ear wash. She then poured it into each ear of my dog and held it in there for a bit showing me how that could be done. She the said that afterwords I cold apply a salve called, Malotic, by using a cotton ball and applying it in his ear. I then told her that I'd take the two medicines and thanked her for her instructions. At no time was I told that I was being charged for anything she was showing me. When my wife and I went to pay the bill, instead of it being around $108.00 plus the small bottle of ear wash and and small tube of Malotic, the bill came to a whopping $254.05! Here's there breakdown of prices: Heart worm: negative $22.50 x 3 = $67.53/ Fecal Floatation; negative $12.00 x 3 = $36.00/ Triz-Edta ear flush 4oz. 13.55/ Malotic 15 gm tube $18.45/ Rabies & DHP/P Annual $36.50/ Cytology - Swab $8.00. The bill should have been for around $140.00.instead, because of their underhanded tactics the bill wound up being $254.05! As far as I'm concerned I had been lied to by the female representative who spoke to me when I arrived at the clinic. They overcharged me $125.08. I was so upset by this that I'll never, ever go back to this clinic again. As far as I'm concerned they're no better than some used-car sales person on the con. Shame on you, Fairview Veterinary Hospital! If anyone reading this is still thinking of going to this clinic please be sure to protect yourself and don't trust what anyone at this hospital tells you about cost before you go in. Also, make sure that if someone is, "Showing", you something that they're not charging you for the demonstration.

Fairview, that extra 125.08 you took from me is going to cost you dearly. Word of mouth is an extremely powerful source of advertising. Everyone in this world knows at least 250 people. As far as your crafty ways of making money off of your customers in the future: Good luck with that.
