Hello. I am writing for many ARC employees that simply do not want to write. I wish someone would find this message and investigate arc-of course it would have to be when they dont know about it b/c when they expect it they put on a front.
I have set in on some of the meetings (by the way I am x-staff). There are three people at arc that really need to be investigated: the ex. Director the women under her and the SLP supervisor-or B. Ritchie (shes terriable). I have never worked with so many ignorant people in my life.
I terribly feel for the people that work in the homes (SLP program). They are treated like crap— they have to work almost every day. I realize the clients need help 24hours a day. But cant staff ever have a day off— they will constantly bug you at home on your days off. I would love to tell them where to go, and of course they call b/c they dont want to come in them selves.
Oh and what ever happened to the supervisor doing what she says or coming to the home to work once in awhile—or maybe the ex. Director just possibly knowing some of the clients names. Now that is really sad. She doesn't know half of what goes on. One comment that summed alot of it up was this: " Anyone with carpet in their office doesn't know what the hell is going on" —wow. And this was from an ARC employee that I would normally think would be a suck ass. Amazing, even they felt that way.
Does this send a message— I am just so tired of the big wigs getting by with it and putting on these fronts. It's funny how at annual dinners how the ex. Director all of a sudden pretends to know what's going on. But she never says thanks to all the staff— well maybe at the annual dinner. So it sounds good, we never hear it otherwise. And another quote was that she never loses an unemployment case. WOW she doesn't. Maybe I should tell my attorney that one and we will see.
I am just very upset along with other staff. One such staff almost reported arc to the local newspaper although it never made it that far b/c another arc staff opened there mouth (they were scared to lose there job, bc / the ex director lets you feel that way.) and got this person in trouble-the person got to keep there job although they were spoken too about it, I guess in the meeting the ladies cried. Lol—oh please! I have also heard they can pour on the tears well when they said or did something that could get them in big trouble. OH boo hoo—that makes me sick just hearing about it.
At the annual dinner a few years ago the ex. Director brought up the fact of a disease she had—yes I am sorry that happend to her but how many people out there have problems we deal with all the time. —yes am I bitter. FOR SURE, I do not speak for the ARC's around the country = they are probably doing well and arnt anything like wabash, indiana.
In fact I have frequent contact with the arc of allen county—and they are great!!! They also have said they have heard terriable things about the arc in wabash county. If that tells you something. And the women I have contact with is also a "paper pusher" except shes fair.
I just wanted to get my feelings out there and to help the others that still work for arc of wabash county. We need to do something about this place. Thanks for letting me vent.
