Everyone I know that has EVER had a contract with them has somehow been screwed over! I'm pretty sure ATB HATES the military, too, because they are the ones they screw over 90% of the time! If you have a contact with them be sure to READ EVERYTHING on it!
They slip in little loop holes like auto-renewal! My contact was supposed to be up May. I had a two year contract. We have been living in California since Feb. I was told I could cancel my membership if we moved like 100 miles from an ATB. I was told to fax a copy of our orders and proof of our new address to their corporate office, I did that THREE times and
every time the fax "never got there". Even though I have confirmations that it was sent! So I just sucked it up and continued to pay the remaining 3 months, even though I was 1500 miles away! THEN, June comes around and a 60 dollar charge hits my bank account! Really??? So I called them and they said, in your contract it states that if you don't cancel you will automatically go into an automatic month to month contract! Wtf! When I signed the contract the girl said NOTHING about this to me! Obviously, my fault for not reading the 2 pages of -10 font of course, but still SUPER SHADY!
And the people in their customer service department are awful. The guy I talked to today was so rude, and did nothing for me except send me an email to cancel my membership. He pretty much said "well you should have read your contract before you signed it."
