It has now been 10 monthssince Dr. Michael Blum has rendered services on my inflamed tooth. I paid an advance deposit of $150.00 for x-rays that would later be billed to my insurance company. I called Blum's office (after 9 months) asking for my refund and was told that my surgical expenses of $3K was paid with interest by my insurance co. To Mr. Blum's office. However, the x-rays were never billed (9 Months later). Therefore, I would not receive a refund. I asked for the return of my deposit stating thatmy deposit shouldnot be held hostage because of Dr. Blum's oversight of not billing my insurance co. For the x-rays. His office staff did not return my telephone calls or follow-up on my situation. As of today, I have not received 1 phone call regarding the situation. What a way to run a business... Not to mention, greatpatient support.
It turns out that my surgery was not needed. The tooth required a re-treatment (root-canal) that failed. I went to a different doctor (Endodontist), that stated that my surgery with Dr. Blum was not necessary. My new doctor fixed my tooth without exception. Obviously, a much sharper Doctor with better service and prices.
I would not recomend Dr. Michael Blum or his office to anyone... Except Bin Laden.
