I prepaid for a 6 month membership to the Gold's Gym at 5031 East Elliot. When I talked to the training manager Mike, I told him my primary reason for joining this club was so that I could take fitness CLASSES close to home. I already have a membership to 24 Hour Fitness but it is about 8 miles away. Mike assured me that my membership would include UNLIMITED classes and he gave me a schedule of the classes they currently had each week. About 2 weeks after I prepaid for 6 months, I received an email from Gold's Gym stating that ALL classes were cancelled INDEFINITELY. I called right away and spoke to the general manager Justin who told me "too bad, you only had 3 days in whick to cancel. We don't promise classes and we can cancel them at any time."
Today, I received another flyer in the mail from this Gold's Gym and it clearly states that my membership would include Group Exercise classes, spinning classes and yoga/pilates classes.
All I want is my money back for FIVE of the SIX months. I do not need another gym membership if it is only going to allow me to use the cardio machines and not provide any group exercise classes.
