Shannon Graham "Life Coach"
Misrepresented Himself, Unqualified

Why I will never use life coaching again. My experience with Shannon Graham life coach.

While life coaching can be a positive practice when you are able to locate and utilize the coaching services of a reputable and trained life coach. On the flip side there are other unscrupulous individuals who have no business doing life or relationship coaching, for the simple reason that they have not been trained properly, or they offer bad advice and attempt to sell you on changes that will make your life worse at your financial and emotional expense. To put it another way, there are snake oil salesmen in every profession, and unfortunately many life coaches fall into this category, and my wish is that no one else get scammed or ripped off by a person claiming to be an effective life coach, when in truth is they are just the opposite. What I have learned is if a coach is selling life coaching services is legitimate they have an excellent track record, a degree, and you will be able to find plenty of evidence backing up their claims. They will be affiliated with legitimate personal life coaching associations and have training in Psychology and human behavior. They may should also be able to invite you to reference their past or present clients-not friends - so that you can get a strong sense of how effective their approach and technique is. When I say I was a victim of a bad practitioner that would be the best way I could put it. I discovered with little trouble that this coach had none of the necessary qualifications, training or degrees that are the hallmark of a reputable coach. Because he did not know what he was doing, he shot from the hip and he pushed me to make decisions that were cookie cutter and idiotic when taking into account my life, my loved ones, and my emotional stability. I spent 100's of dollars only to find myself in a spiraling depression having made choices that adversely effected the ones I love and my business. I would like to offer this. Because most people who want a coach are well meaning and have every intention of making improvements to their life. Never trust someone who influences you to make rash decisions. This young man, only in his twenties upon exploration, should not be practicing. It has taken months to realize his influence caused damage and estrangement from my family. Have the fortitude to recognize when someone is fleecing you and causing harm to your life. I will never again seek a life coach. I recommend that if you are brave enough to try this as a means of self improvement, that you do so with a trained therapist, many offer executive coaching services at none of the astronomical prices or danger to your emotional well being. Life is about learning lessons and I feel like the best lesson I learned was to believe in myself, to believe in the love of the people around me, and never to allow anyone's inept insights to challenge those things in any way. People like this are reprehensible and I have no qualm in sharing my story if it prevents you or someone you love from being scammed.
