IQ Derma Glow
This come-on is frequently on the "Today on Aim" e-mail home page, so you would think it had some credit

I, too, was eager to try this new "healthy" make up from Glow and the free trial offer (even with the payment of S & H) seemed like a good deal. However...
It would take a Philidelphia Lawyer to finally get through and understand all of the fine print. It that said that to make the offer "free", you would have to return the empty bottles, every piece of paper, original packaging and mail it back in a certain way. You even needed to call and write to them for some lables and more paperwork that you needed to mail the package back correctly, or they would not accept it. And of course, you had to get it all back from them in time for you to mail it back in the limited trial period. If you did not follow these convoluted instructions to the letter, not only would you be billed approx. 90.00 for the "trial sample bottles" you would automatically be enrolled to get MORE product every 60 days at the 90.00 rate. It was like a weird opt-out scheme from a Dilbert comic strip.
To make matters worse, before I was aware that it was the same company, I ordered the IQ Derma skin serum! This had the same Draconian instructions as above, except they wanted 230.00 (A 25% Savings!) for the Free trial and mandatory 60 day refills. I was fortunate enough to have signed up for the inferior, cheaper serium at only 96.00.
I e-mailed the company and they comiserated with me and after I started to cry... Guess what? The prices started to come down.in the end, I was able to get off by paying the S & H, & one payment of 45.00 for the make-up and no more refills would come. The skin serum (which damaged my skin, BTW) I was not so lucky on. I had to pay one full price, of 96.00, but they did unsubscribe me and I have not heard from them since. They were happy enough to work with me, I was willing to pay for my own stupidity, but can you imagine how many shy or unknowing women have paid the full price for months?
In another post, I will try to warn you about answering on line requests for your opinions in a "little, short, survey" and never, NEVER fall for it when they offer you a free 100.00 Target, or some other store card. You will never get rid of these people! And what ever you do, don't give them your cell phone number! They will run up your charges out of spite! One company called my cell at least 5 times and hour and texted me too. They have many phone numbers, so you can't keep up with all of them. Live and Learn!!
