Dr. Savage is a Hack and a Thief! He installed 2 crowns into my upper jaw. While waiting for the crowns to be delivered, the temporaries fell out. When they did arrive the office called me over and over while I was at work. When installed, they didn't fit right and I told him that the bite was off. He said " well they look good to me, if it still doesn't feel right, set another appointment next week." I was shocked as he ran out of the room. This is what I am paying good money for?
When I got home and looked in the mirror, I had discovered why he ran away like a kid who did something wrong. When he was grinding-down my Crowns Below the ones he had just put in, he had removed the protective white covering on one of my crowns that were already there, so that there was now a dark gray spot on the top surface.
Three times after that refitting visit I went back to Dr. Savage, getting closer to where my original bite had been before, but it is STILL not right. I complained everytime that I went of hot and cold sensations where the new crowns are and he kept saying, it'll go away in 2-6 weeks. It is still sensative many months later.
On the 4th visit food had become impacted into my lower crowns and he had to give me a localized antibiotic. When I had mentioned the damage caused by carelessness to his hygienist, she said that he should have to fix that for free.By the way, I had never had food impacted there before, but after every meal now, there is still food unswallowed left right where the crowns are, because the fit isn't right!
I am disgusted that this DDS. Is still working. No guarantee, crappy work, piss-poor attitude and Holier -than-thou demeaner, I strongly recommend anyone not to go to him.
When I confronted him about this he said "Well I have been doing this for 35 years and I am very good at what I do!" (So you chose me to finally screw up and that makes it ok?) He then offered a discounted replacement, "since you seem upset over it." The bottom crowns were over top of 2 rootcanals. I am not looking forward to reliving that whole experience.
