I'm mostly writing this so some other dumb sucker like me won't get ripped off. I have severe gout and traditional medicine just isn't working for me. I found a link to this 3 step gout miracle website based out of New Jersey, and got very excited by what I read. I gave my credit card number for a $4.97 shipping and handling fee for a CD which was supposed to have the information to help me get rid of the swelling and pain associated with my gout.
It did say that after my 14-day free trial of the CD, I would be enrolled in a monthly web video series at the price of $27.00 per month. I thought surely I'd get the CD before that, and if it had all the answers I was looking for, I'd cancel. So the 14 days passed, no CD, and I'm out another $27.00. $32.00 total at this point is not going to make or break me, but I just didn't like the fact that I got nothing to try for my "14 day free trial."
I got their phone number from my credit card company since they didn't have one listed on their website and called. I got a voice mailbox which was full, and has been for the last several days. The website had also completely changed from offering a CD to offering an E-book for $29.95 for instant download. So all told, I am out $4.97 because my card company says shipping and handling charges can't be disputed. Ok, fine. But is this how this guy makes money? 5 bucks a pop from poor suckers like me who are just looking for an answer? I just don't want anyone else to now apparently pay 6 times what I paid to get ripped off and not get what they order.
