FWM Laboratories
Internet fraud/scam offering free then charging your card big bucks

Internet offer: Free bottle of Acai Berry diet supplement pills, pay shipping only of 3.95. Two week free trial, then you can order more or cancel, or try another product to add to this for maximum results.

They don't tell you the 14 days starts the day you order, not the day you receive. They don't tell you if you don't cancel, they will bill your card for a different product altogether. They don't tell you your card will be charged 87.13.

Unauthorized charge caused an NSF fee of 34.00. When I got the bank notification of insufficient funds, I called the bank to find out what the charge was for and from where. They gave me a phone number and
FWM*Lipaphen. Didn't help me at all, never heard of the company, nor the product. Called them and cancelled, and told them I hadn't agreed to anything.

When I received bank statement, today, a month after the initial charges, I compared. Original order was Ultra Cleanse GB with one Ref number for 1.95, and another Ref number for 2.00. Phone number was 866-604-9260 on 4/3/09, cleared 4/6/09.

The next charge was a different product, and showed FWM*Lipaphen with a completely different Ref number and phone number as 866-949-0138 on 4/18 and cleared 4/19. When I called them, I said it had been a month, and I still hadn't received the product. They looked it up, and said I had cancelled the order. I said I never received a credit for that charge, so thought I should be receiving the product, since the order apparently went through.

They said the 87.13 was the balance on the original order - not even the same product - How does that work?

They refused to give me their name or ID number, or even to give me to a supervisor to take care of it. I hung up, very mad. I then conducted my own research on this company for the next couple of hours. I found 4 addresses, and various phone numbers. I also found several hundred complaints from customers just in the past 6 months. They all stated basically the exact same story.

I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the BBBSoutheastFlorida, The Fair Trade Council, The Federal Trade Commission, the Complaint Board (which incidently is the web address FWM Labs gives you to check on your order! Www.MyOrderSupport.com) That's where I found the first complaints. Then I typed in FWM Laboratories into Google search. Tons of hits, mostly complaints, lots of blogs.

With all of the complaints, mostly the over charge of 87.13 each, for a free product that isn't even what they charge you for the second time, this company is racking up the money, and very quickly! I think we should all get together and file a class action suit against them and their fraudulent business practices.

You can get a list off the internet for where to file reports, claims, and complaints for fraud, scams, etc. The link is Linkscan. You can also go to Snopes and various other places to find how to get a bad business (incidently, Better Business Bureau gave them an F). I also sent a news blog to CNN.com for them to do an investigative study and report on them.

Buyer, beware! Before you give your credit card number to anyone or any business on the internet, study the company first. You can get all the info you need in a very short time, and maybe not get "taken" or scammed like this company is doing to SO many others.
