Dr. Guillermo works at sequioa hosp in redwood city, my insurance aetna/magellan paid her below her contract price for her services, so she sent my acct to collections who has me deliquent on all 3 credit bureaus. My contract with aetna/magellan was 240.00 per hospital admission which includes: food, psyc nurses, bed, psyc medicine, non-psyc medicine, saw a internal medical doctor for pelvic pain, blood/urine test etc... The other doctor, dr. K (don't know full name) i wrote to his billing reps and they decided to take insurance as pay in full. Dr. Guillermo i wrote her a note to her rep, wrote her a note directly, contacted the better business bureau with no luck. Aetna is contracted with sequioa hosp, and magellan is contracted with sequioa psyc ward. The two staff doctors are not contracted with magellan so they do not get paid at the same rate as a different insurance would pay. If i were the hospital or the insurance company i would be sure to tell patients that doctor will not accept insurance as pay in full. If i would have known this, i would have gone elsewhere for treatment.
