On or about 01/21/09 I had followed a link to sign up for a 'free' trial of Acai Berry. I was charged $5.95 for S&H which posted to my CC on 01/22/09. The product was unimpressive but I didn't think much about it because after all, it was a free trial. On 02/02/09 I was charged $88.62! I had attempted to call the toll free number listed on my CC statement but received a recorded message stating that this number was unavailable from my calling area. I live in Alaska, you know, one of the 50 states, so it shouldn't have been an issue at all. Also, the first charge of $5.95 listed the company as The Acai Berry Max Shop siting a number of 877-300-3766 KN. The second charge of $88.62 listed the company as Tea Acai Berry with a number of 866-950-4787 GB. I tried both numbers but got the same result.
I have sought to resolve the issue with my CC company Credit One Bank but they've been dragging their feet on the issue and even allowed a third charge to occur the following month of $94.57 ($88.62 $5.95 S&H). If anyone is organizing a class action suit against them, I'd be more than happy to join.
