OK its busy around Christmas or Dec. The infomercial was what caught my attention.By the way, I've learned if you wait a few months you'll find most of these items end up in the stores-i.E. Walgreens, CVS, Bed, Bath Beyond. Generally they're sold for less than from an ad. They're unloading inventory.

I placed an order the first of Dec. Hoping it might make it in 3 wks. I was pleased they did email me 12-05 with a confirm & order# stating the'd send another email when it was ready for shipping. Christmas came & went; I was too busy to think about that order and truthfully 3-4 wks. Was pushing it to expect from order date... But an entire month.

I called the second day of the new yr. 09. If it wasnt here by now my impulse buy could be rectified. The guy in CS said there was no acknowledgment of my order in database. WHAT? But he did have my order#. Hmmmm!!?

Truly these companies have a breakdown between order dept., warehouse, shipping & primarily accounting dept. They're not even tied together. It supposedly was sent to processing side (or is that 'the dark side').

I was becoming more frustrated but set out to cancel so said, please just give me a confirm#. But I didn't need one for a cancellation. Big mistake.

I now realize that once they leave CS phone ctr. And they have an approval# from a credit card, its gone. They may not run it till the item is shipped, nevertheless, its out there.

Fast forward to 2 mo./1 wk. (Mar. 7), I'm looking at my online bank acct. See processed debit for 24.82. After getting on the phone with CS he of course sees nothing about a cancellation from Dec., only that its in 'process'. Totally overlooked our conversation from Jan. 2. Adding insult to injury, I mentioned, where was my email about when its ready for shipment. The reality is, debit on 3/5, email notice of shipment on 3/15, recd. On 3/20.

I was told if I don't want it just mark refusal on UPS box. Well, how many of us are at our doorstep when a package arrives. Also, if I refused or returned, the credit to my acct. Would take 30 days. After all the stories I've read it could be longer if ever. I was not home when it arrived. Fortunately it wasn't broken as I sure didn't want to go thru that hassle.

Given the type of plastic on certain parts and the tension style band, it may not last long. Also, they threw in supplemental boost tablets as a freebie. Just to be sure I will call again to make sure I comply with small print as to not being on auto ship program for another merry-go-round treatment.

When you give your card# the people in CS get an immediate approval # even if its run later. (which BTW - I had bank give me a new card# in Jan.). That is why they could run mine 2 mo. Later when they were ready to catch up on the Christmas rush, even though I'd cancelled.

Mantra: "I will never never ever order a product from an ad, infomercial again".
