I requested online application for health insurance coverage for my wife from SynergyHealthPlans.com on a Sunday. Within seconds I received a phone call from a rep to complete application. The plan appeared reasonable and I agreed to pay a monthly premium of $241 for March with a one-time $50 application fee today (Feb. 15) by credit or debit card. Written details of plan proposed on the phone were to be mailed & received within 7-10 days, and if unsatifactory, my one month $241 payment made today would be refunded, providing I notify them in writing within 10 days from receipt of mailed information.
My debit card was charged $291 two times on the same day (Sunday). I tried to call the number they called me from to complain but their recording only says Synergy Health Plan and gives business hours to call.
