I do not hardly know where to start... I am usually very careful and skeptical of advertisments online. I do not give out personal information on the internet, especially not financial information. However, I have been taken.in November I kept noticing an ad for free samples of the acai berry supplement. It was supported by "persoanal testimonials" and all. Well I thought about it for a couple of days before I took the bait. When I ordered the 14 day supply "free sample" of course I had to pay the nominal shipping and handling. It was only suppose to be $3 or $4.
After a while I did receive the free sample. It took so long that I figured that it had all been a scam and that I wouldn't receive them at all. But about a week after I got the 14 day supply, I had a check to bounce in my account due to insufficient funds. This of course brought extra charges also. When I started checking my account I found that $89.31 had been debited to my account. I did not know what this amount was for, so I immediately contacted my bank. They did not have much information on the transaction either, but they did give me the time that it went through and said that it was sent to healyforme in Draper, Utah. I had no knowledge of these people so I filed a form with my bank to try to recover the $89.31, and knew that I would just have to cover the other charges myself.
About a week or two later I received a month supply of the acai berry. When I looked on the package I found the Fullfillment name and address in Davie FL. I also found a number on the package that looked like it may be a phone number. I tried it. I did reach customer service, but of what I had no idea. When I asked them why they had sent me the pills the said that I had agreed that after receiving the "free sample" if I did not notify them within 14 days that they would automatically charge my account for $89.31, and send me the pills each month. I told them that I did not agree to this, that they had not sent me any paperwork or invoices with either package, and that I believed they were practicing fraud. The man assured me that the account would be canceled, (he gave me a cancelation #). He also said that if I would ship the pills back to them and call them with the ups label number that they would refund the money into my account.
I did ship the pills back, and I called them with ups label #, and was told that my money would be refunded within 14 business days. At the end of Dec. I called them back and they said that my refund was being processed and that it was approved on Dec. 22, and that I would receive a refund within 14 business days from then.
It is January 15 and guess what??? Still no refund. I called the number, now it doesn't work. So I got online and found this site. I found another number and tried that. I got through, after telling my story to one man, I was told that the money had never been taken out of my account. I told him that it was. After a few moments of talking with him, I asked to talk to someone above him. He put me on hold, thens I was cut off. I called back several times and was told that the money had already been refunded to me and again that it had never been taken in the first place.
I am still trying to get the money back. I am a single mom, and $90 is a lot to me.in trying to find information from them I was given a number from them that led me to another company. They have been deducting money from my account also. It was 29.95 for 2 monthes in a role. I evidently hadn't noticed the smaller amounts. They said they were a companion company to Fullfillment, and that they had given me membership in their online company. I was not even aware of them.
Well I have called the Better Business Burea who are quite aware of this company. They have 2377 reports against this company... I guess 2378 now. I am going to change my account at the bank... And believe me I will not buy online from someone I do not know again.
