I ordered two pairs of eyeglass frames with no prescription as we are from Ontario and thought it would be much easier to fill the prescription here. First of all the web site states shipped with in 72 hours. It was more than 16 days after they took their money from the credit card company and still no frames. So I called Decor My Eyes at 1-800-995-9373 and spoke to Lyndsey (customer service) at that point she informed me that the male frames were not avaliable and would I like something different. They did not contact me, but they did bill the credit card company for the full amount. I mentioned that to Lyndsey and she told me that Decor My Eyes would be refunding my credit card the amount of the male frames.
The next day we recieved a phone call from Decor My Eyes stating that the male frames were not avaliable to to please call the company to order a different frame. I called the company again and again I spoke to Lyndsey and mentioned to her that I had spoke to her the night before and reminded her that she stated that the refund would be made within 24 hours, she said she would have to talk to her manager.
I called back the next day a she confirmed that they would refund the amount of the male frames and that they would ship the female frames asap. Upon receiving the female frames on November 12/08, I took the said frames to my optomitrist to have the prescription filled and then received them back. Once I tried on the glasses it was noted that the spot weld on the upper right hand side of the glasses had let go. I then called Decor My Eyes and again spoke to Lyndsey and she said that I would have to speak to Stanley Bolds.
I tried several time to speak to him and everytime was disconnected, when I finall y spoke to Mr. Bold he was very rude and accused my Optomitrist of breaking the frames. Stating that he jammed the lenses into the frames. Even though it is a defective spot weld, he continued to be very rude and said that they do not cover the warranty of the frames after a third party has handles the frames.
I then asked him if, (then he hung up on me again). So I called him back and he continued to hang up on me stating that he was answering other phone calls. I proceeded to inform him that, that was not very professional when he was dealing with an unsatisfied customer that he needs to ignore the other phone calls and let someone else answer the calls. At that point he accused my Optomitrist again of damaging the frame. I commented that what would happen if the the frame broke when I was wearing them, he said that would be a different story.
When I told him I didn't appreciate his cursing or rudeness and he needed to stop and let me talk as I did when he was speaking, he claimed that I must not be from New York and that is the way they talked in New York.
This is what they state on their webpage "Every pair we sell is guaranteed authentic and you can be returned within 14 days for any reason." (No where does it state anything about the warranty being void by a third party filling the prescription lenses).
Mr Bold needs to be stopped and made to understand he should honor what he is advertising on the website. His site is very misleading to the consumer.
Please do not purchase from his company, it is cheaper in the long run to see your Optomitrist or even a store that will honor their Warranty.
