Ahead To Wellness
Chiropractioner giving dangerous suppliments

I went to see Dr. James Augustine at his clinic: Ahead to Wellness in Cerritos, CA, after looking into his website which says Full body scan with no radiations. As I did not have insurance, I wanted to find out if all my body parts were fine.

Dr. Augustine is a chiropractor. The web site says that many aliments will be gone just by fixing the neck.

The first time I went, Dr. Augustine took my body scan (I came to know from doctors later on that the body scan he takes is not accurate; so doctors don't use it in hospitals). It costs 200 dollars. Then he said he would fix my neck. (50 dollars)

The doctor asked me to come back after a week to see my scan results. I came to see him again, thinking I would be given just my results. This time, Dr. Augustine told me I had some problems. As he described those problems, I realized that I did not have any symptoms of what he was telling me. Then he adjusted my neck and asked me to come again the following week. I told him I could not come again.

While I was leaving, I was handed a plastic bag and some printout by his assistant and was asked to pay $301,00. I was shocked. I did not know what to say; so I paid up. When I came home, I looked into the bag and saw 7 different supplements.

My daughter asked me why I had so many supplements. She asked me not to take them. I told her that the doctor gave me those supplements and so I had to take them.

After taking those supplements for about a couple of weeks, I went to CVS' Minute Clinic for a free check up. When the health care person took my blood pressure (BP), it was 180/90. I was shocked; she checked again with the same result. She asked me to go to a doctor and get medication immediately. I was shocked since my BP had always been fine.

The next day I went to emergency. I showed the doctor the supplements I had been taking. He asked me to stop taking them and prescribed medication for BP. He said if I started taking the BP medication, I should take it my whole life. I didn't want to do it. So I went home and stopped taking the supplements. The blood pressure has come down without any medications.

I called Dr. Augustine's office twice and both times his assistant took down my name and phone number and said he would call back. But he NEVER called. As a doctor, he should have called me back if he was really interested in the welfare of his patients. I waited for a few more days and emailed him. No answer for my emails. I sent back the supplements but he refused my package. I am now out of $301 and forced to have supplements that are of no use to me wit my health endangered.

When I was there, I saw him giving supplements to other patients who had come to see him. I was wondering why he was giving supplements to them. His tactic is to surprise people with his supplements at a vulnerable time and charge exorbitant amounts of money. He does NOT even have a return policy, in case the supplements cause any problems or do not work. He won't even answer. This is how the doctor patient relationship works.

I want to warn people not to trust him. It's dangerous and he is dong it only for money. It's of no use and it will put your health in danger. Quack doctors like
