I repsponded on a reputable website to a free sample offer and now I get continuing charges even after I request removal of the charges.
The customer service people pretend to help but continue the same pattern, hoping you won't notice on your charge bill.
I have requested removal from their list. My credit card says they cannot block a charge, I have to deal directly with the offending company, so I can see this continuing indefinitely.
That's the scam. Free is not free and then, well you should have read the fine print of some bogus agreement.
