My new puppy fell in a pool and went un-noticed for about 5 minutes. We rushed him to Knowles Animal Clinic because this was on a Holiday and our regular veterinarian was closed. The on-staff vet advised us that he had water in his lungs and that he needed a special vacumn put on. They advised this would cost us $1000 and needed to be paid up front. We did not have $1000 on hand and told the vet if there was anything else she could do. She said no and that we had to sign a waiver stating we refused treatment and they are not liable. She then sternly told us "The puppy is going to die." We took her home and began giving her aerosol and antibiotics prescribed by our regular vet, who said she had no water in her lungs the following day when he opened. To make a long story short, my little puppy is safe and sound and healthy.
This is not the first time that this place has scammed me, the reason I went back last month (which is 10 years after my initial meeting with them) was because they were the only place open and my puppy was coughing out chlorine water.
If you can avoid this place, do so at all costs!!!
