Joined Peak Fitness falls of neuse rd. Raleigh, NC Jan. 08 and asked about how much it would cost for a personal trainer. I met with the Manager of Professional Fitness and I told him I would be out town for about aq month and was looking into getting a trained in Feb. When I returned. Of course he said that the prices were going to increase in Feb. And that I should sign up now and then call in Feb. To set up training dates. I also made
him aware that the only times I could work out would be 5:30am. He said no problem that he had trainers for that time. He gave me a number to call to set up training. I signed up an paid $230.00 that day and was to pay $100.00 each month from my debit card.
When I returned from my travels I called the number and left a message. Never received a return call. I made a call every week or two and never had a return call. I worked at early each morning and even asked the Peak fitness desk person about how to reach Professional
Fitness and she said they did not come in that early.
During this time I had my wallet stolen and had to close out all my credit cards and debit card. I even left a message about my card number being changed but still no return calls.By April I offered a transfer with
my job to SC.
Finally I had to take the morning off just to go to
the gym to try to find someone at Professional fitness to talk to. I spoke to Shawn Thomas and told him about all the calls and he said that the number I was calling was for the desk of the old manager who signed me up and had left around the end of Feb. He said that normally no one answers that line and that they don't really listen to the voice mail at that number. I told him
I was not moving till the end of May and I would at least like to get some training in for the money I had paid. I said I could be there at 5:30am any day. He took my number and said he would call the next day. I asked for his number and he give it to me.
A week later I still had not received a call. I called him two times and left a message. The end of May I moved to SC and I contacted the office on Six Forks road and they told me to send a copy of my lease along with the information I stated above. I have sent my lease and called them a number of times and every week I
still get a call from a collection person and no one will speak to me at the office. I did speak to them on July 7. And they once again took all the information and said they would check into it.
They did tell me that it would cost me $100.00 to cancel due to my move. I explained that I had already paid $230.00 and received no services. They are still checking into to it. Since that time I have been reported to the credit bureau for late payment. I guess I will have to go to court and they can pay for the cost since I have went over and beyond trying to correct
this.
Professional fitness is a big. Big. Ripoff
