The Mdskincare Instant Beautification Eye Area Firming Patched burned the skin under my right eye Brussels

I consider this product dangerous and harmful due to the chemical burn which one of these patches caused under my right eye area.

On Sunday, August 17 I used the Mdskincare Eye Patches. I thought that I was following directions on the package and applied Patches as outlined. On Monday, August 18, I awoke to find a severe chemical reaction/burn around my right eye only. There was no burn or injury of any kind around my left eye area.

One of the Mdskincare Instant Beautification Eye Area Firming Patches caused a major burn/injury under my right eye area. Mdskincare is stating that the patch was not used correctly. Even if this is the case, I am frustrated in that Mdskincare is not confirming that the packaging and labeling was very misleading and that instructions were not clear to the average consumer.in the most recent of the attached correspondence, Mdskincare for the first time in my dealings with them (I have been in daily communication since August 18), is referring to the fact that there is a "battery" in the patches.

I have outlined my concern regarding the battery component and potential hazards in the attached emails.
My concern is that only one of the patches caused my burn. Could this have been due to the "battery"? Mdskincare has responded to my emails but they have never provided me with the disclosure of information to my questions. They have spoken to my dermatologist. My dermatologist took pictures of my injury and also documented the incident. I have also provided Mdskincare with answers to their questions and time stamped pictures. Now they want the used patches but are not willing to send them to an independent testing lab for inspection / analytical analysis.

My motivation in continuing any correspondence with Mdskincare is to prevent ANY other consumer from being burned by a faulty patch or to be mislead by poor packaging and labeling. If the use of this product caused one injury, it could also cause more.

The injury under my eye caused by the Mdskincare Instant Eye Area Beautification Patch is improving slowly. I am concerned that this injury which occurred on August 11 is still present on September 11. I am relieved that there has been some progress in improving the appearance of this injury. I am profoundly disturbed that any cosmetic product/tool could cause this long lasting injury.

The Mdskincare directions indicate that the eye patch is to be applied directly to the skin for 20 minutes. Although no active ingredients are listed due to the fact that the eye patches are registered as a " Tool" versus a "Drug" or a "Cosmetic", I am looking into the required compliance clearance for products which have this type of direct prolonged skin contact. The FDA has informed me that my report and this product is being reviewed by the Center of Cosmetics and the Center of Devices to determine what regulatory guidelines this material should have.

To date, Mdskincare and Sephora have not removed this material from their websites.
