I became pregnant between relationships. I did not know I was pregnant until 18 months. I was not sure who was biological father of my unborn child. I checked the website and found out Genetest has a Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing which will determine the paternity of an unborn child without the risks of CVS or Amniocentesis. I purchased the product and paid $1,025.00. The first thing I noticed something was weird was when I received the package. It was not send by the FedEx or UPS. It was drop off from someone at my front yard. I question the company. He told me his technician was in the area. Therefore, he dropped it off. When I thought about it now, I suspect, they did on purpose. Therefore, there was no tracking/record for mail fraud. At that time, I was so worried. I did not bother and questioned the company that much. I just sent back the swab and had my blood drawn. I called the company many time and was told the result will be out 14 days. I told him my situation and needed the result right away. He promised he would tell me the result in a week. I waited and waited, two weeks has passed, no answered. I kept calling and he kept making excuses of not having the result, yet. Later on, he told me the swab could not be found. I would need to send another one. I was really angry. I questioned him why he told me the result would be out soon. I could have sent another one long time ago. I started to question about the company. Therefore, I made up story that I was going to get abortion if my boyfriend was not the father. Hopefully, he would truly do the test and gave me the result. Especially, I was about 23 weeks, which was more risky to get abortion. I thought no one would be so unethical and cold heart to give me a false report when they did not even performed the test. I guess I was wrong. He told me the result over the phone. I told him for $1,025.00. I should get the DNA report or some kind of letter. After called him many times, he sent this through my email, The test results have been received from Paragon Genetics. Based on the DNA profile there is an exclusion of paternity when compared with the DNA profile with XXX. A detailed report will be sent when received by Paragon. Of course, I never received any report in mail. I called the company and told him that I would get the abortion since the current boyfriend was not the father according to him. He told me I better get an abortion before its too late. The company is totally a scam. I was so depressed and thought it was true since I disbelieve someone would be so unethical and lie to you about this. Especially, I asked him many time. Was he sure about the result because it would determine the fate of my unborn child? I went to my own doctor. He told me according to the calendar and ultrasound. The date I conceived was around the time I was with my current boyfriend. The doctor told me its not possible to determine the paternity of an unborn child through Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing. I knew abortion was out of question since it was my own child. I can only wait for later to redo the test with some other company. I cried and felt so bad through out my pregnancy as a single mom. I hided from the outside world and not sure whats going to happen if later on found out Genetest was right. My parents told me to stop crying its bad for the baby and myself, but I just could not. The new test with another company proved that my baby was his and I got the DNA report as well. Thanks God, the baby does look like him. She is 16 months now. I never want to write this complained, but when I thought if someone like me did an abortion. It would be the sadness thing to happen. We had so much fun with this baby. She is so adorable and the best thing ever happened to me. If I have trusted Genetest, I probably would marry to my ex. See, what Genetest would have done? My baby would call the wrong dad and I would not be this happy now. Thats why I decided to write and make sure no one will be fool by Genetest Corporation again. Genetest never performed anything and they are out there to rip people off. Genetest not only is crook but also murders. I always wonder how could they do such thing? Its like killing the innocent baby and breaking couples apart. If I got an abortion, I would never find out she is the daughter of my husband. Is that why Genetest asked me to get abortion right away? Therefore, there is no evidence? I wish Genetest would stop hurting innocent people and paid for what they did. I am pretty sure they are making tons of money from this unethical practice. The only thing he did was just answered the phone and gave false report. He just throw away all the swabs and blood samples sent to him. I just feel bad if more innocent people will fall into his hand (Genetest) and do the wrong thing.
