Even after I paid for my dental insurance, Anthem Blue Cross failed to allow me to enjoy the benefits of my insurance until after nearly two months.
I signed up for their insurance in mid-May. I paid within two weeks. And when I tried to go to a dental office, I was told that it was closed. Given that the dental office is provided from a list of other offices that Blue Cross has in its database, I did not know the office was closed. Upon learning that I had to change office, I was told by customer rep. "Sessie S." that I had to wait until July 2 for the change to go into effect.
1) Not only did Blue Cross gave me the address of a non-existing office, but it also made me go through the hassle of repairing that mistake.
2) Not only did I have to go through the hassle of repairing its mistake, but it is also making me wait until July 2 before I can enjoy what I already paid for.
Cautionary Warning: Do NOT sign up with Blue Cross. They will screw with you.
