When I purchased my membership I was told that I would be able to use my membership when a 24 Hour finess club was built in Thousand Oaks. The Thousand Oaks club opened and you guessed it my membership was not honored.
I communicated with the main office and the club managers and just got the company line - in otherwords "too bad" it wasn't written in your contract. I reported them to the better business bureau and they replied to BBB that they would be sending me an offer for a special membership. Did I ever see that? NOT!
When I asked specific questions all I got was the standard answer and when I sent written letters I got NO ANSWERS.
The employees that I talk with are very nice and agree I was ripped off but the main office is who makes the call.
When 24 hour was trying to get into Thousand Oaks I even called city Hall to support their application for Zoning etc.
What a reward I got from them!
I don't even care if I go to any other 24 hour "Sport" clubs just the Thousand Oaks Club.
This was just a ploy to increase dues etc. From the "old" memberships.
STAY away from 24 hour fitness you never know what you might get.
