Months ago I noticed that my lenses have fractures or scratches by the nose pads. I also noticed that there appears to be a pit in one lense. After months of cussing the glasses I finally drove the 45miles to the Lenscrafters store to see what could be done to fix the problem or to get new lenses. Once there and my account was looked up I was told that the manufacturer had recalled the lenses because they were defective and they would be replaced at no charge. Then I was told that they were not in stock and I would have to come back another day, another 90 miles round trip. What upsets me is that they have record of my lenses in their database and could have notified me that the lenses were defective. This would have saved me months of pain and suffering and thinking I had done something to the lenses. My other problem with there service is that every time I have went to a Lenscrafters store an employee cleans my glasses. They never wash the dust or grit off of the lenses, they just sqirt cleaner on the lenses and then rub the grit around scratching the lenses.
