I signed up with National Home Trainers in May. They told me I would hear from a trainer in 2 days. After 10 days of trying unsuccessfully to reach anyone in customer service about the fact that I had never heard from any trainer, I called my bank and reported the situation as potential fraud. I cancelled my credit card. Five months later I got an email from "Maya" at National Home Trainers asking me to submit a new credit card number because I owed them money. I wrote back and said I would not be paying for a service I never received and especially not to a company with such lousy customer service. "Maya" wrote back and said I needed to complete a contract cancellation form which I did. I never heard back from them but started receiving bills in the mail. I tried contacting them without success. Then I finally heard from "Tony" in customer relations who changed the story to say that I never heard from a trainer because I never paid. Well there was no way I was giving them my credit card info so they could scam me out of money. He asked me what I wanted to do and I told him I wanted to cancel the contract. Then he never responded. I emailed him every single day and never got a response. A few weeks later, I got a letter in the mail saying my request to cancel the contract was denied. Now they have sent me to collections. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (which by the way, rates National Home Trainers as "unsatisfactory"). National Home Trainers refused to respond to the Better Business Bureau. I'm now going to file a complaint with my local Consumer Protection Agency but I doubt National Home Trainers will respond to this either.
