Have been trying to resolve SEVERAL problems with Aspen Dental since January.
1st issue: Misleading sales - was told I needed an antibiotic to cure infection in my gums, however have since learned that condition I was presenting with was beyond the reach of this antibiotic, I was scammed for nearly $1,000.00!! (marked up price of this brand drug) On 1st visit, after initial "exam" they had already figured out what they were going to try to "nail" me for, and they claimed my insurance company would pay for it, which they did not.
Presented coupons i had received in the mail for a "free" comprehensive exam and x-rays, and they billed my insurance company anyway. I reported this to my insurance company AND only with the threat of reporting Aspen to the Consumer Protection Department would they issue my insurance company a credit.
2nd issue: Fraudulent billing practices - They billed my insurance company for things they never treated me for.
3rd issue: Office personnel at local office told another Dr. That I couldn't get my x-rays from them because I owed Aspen $213.00 (which I did NOT owe, and I have been trying to get this balance resolved since January) THIS IS UNPROFESSIONALISM AT ITS WORST. When I went to their office in person to speak to the UNprofessional who had released financial information about me withOUT my consent, she got enraged and threw me out of their office and told me I could never come back or call there again!
Bottom line: Do not sign anything or let them offer you Care Credit, until you research your condition (what THEY tell you is wrong) or get a second opinion first. These people are NOT interested in repeat customers. Their objective seems to be "get 'em in, get 'em financed, and bill their insurance right away" and when you find out you've been snookered, good luck trying to get ANYONE to respond to you. Aspen Dental does not seem to be interested in long term patient care or anything resembling competent or quality customer service.
