Unauthorized charges on credit card Dream Smile, Xtreme Burn, LeanRX Ripoff

Two years ago, my [gullible] husband ordered two pairs of sunglasses from NovaPointe, LLC, 2060 E. Francis Street., Ontario, CA 91761. After ordering the sunglasses, life was fine and free of any suspicious activity—until Dec.. An unauthorized charge was made on our credit card in Dec.—Dream Smile for $14.95. The following month (Jan., 07), two other unauthorized charges appeared —one on 1/8 (LeanRX for the amount of $74.95) and one on 1/15 (Xtreme Burn for $69.95). Within two minutes of 'Googling' the products, I became aware of a nationwide scam. Someone/some company had 'stolen' people's bank accounts and credit card #'s and were making unauthorized charges on the exact same date, for the identical products, for the exact amount! Upon discovering this widespread scam, my husband and I began to take mental inventory of items we had purchased on the Internet. I had only purchased one item—from a reputable business which I deemed safe. My husband informed me re the above purchase of sunglasses he had made TWO years ago. Besides being gullible, my husband is also a pack rat. Surprisingly, he still had the shipping box (that he received TWO years ago) at his place of work. Upon doing investigation re the shipper (Nova...), I soon discovered their MANY scams.interesting that they waited TWO years to reuse/violate our card! Either they're slow moving, or else they figured we would have forgotten the former purchase. Fortunately, as is often the case, our credit card company did not refute the charges and gladly granted 'security adjustments.' We, of course, shredded our credit cards and have obtained new ones. I hope my husband has learned his lesson from this. I have spent COUNTLESS hours researching and making formal complaints re this company.

P.S. On February 22, my husband received a pkg at his place of work. MUCH to our surprise, he received a bottle of Extreme Lean Rx pills! Thought it was rather strange that the scammers actually sent us something! The company listed on the shipping label is: LeanRX, Fulfilled by Star Fulfillment Center, 1025 SW 59th Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73109. They obtained their shipping label via the Internet (from endicia.com). As Endicia does NOT require companies to list their origin in the shipping info, I could not obtain pertinent info re the shipper (date it was shipped, time it was shipped, place where it was shipped from). Therefore, I have since contacted Endicia and accused them of aiding and abetting scamming activity. They (Seth from sales) informed me they were unaware of such incidents.

P.S.S. Phone #'s. There was a toll-free number listed beside the item description of the unauthorized charges on our credit card statement (866-882-3057). The bottle of pills that my husband recently received at his place of work listed the number 1-800-304-8447 and a Web site of www.leanrx.net. Discovered that the Web site is either bogus or non-helpful—can't remember which now. Both phone numbers have a ridiculous 'recorded' message urging you to punch in your credit card number via the dial pad to better expedite your order.
