Complaint / review text:
I saw an ad on the internet to try a free sample of the Amazon Diet, you only need to pay for shipping, $4.74. When I ordered the free sample, the only choice I had to pay was through "check pay". I receive a bottle of the Amazon Diet about 10 days later from Momentum.
I tried the product for 7 days, and I did not lose any weight. I called the company and also emailed them to cancel any further shipments. I was given a cancellation number.
Two weeks later, I received an over-drawn noticed from my bank for the amount of $49.95. At first, I thought my bank had made a mistake, because my records showed that I should have only paid $4.74. When I called my bank, they said that the amount was withdrawn by Momentum Direct.
I called Momentum Direct and asked why they took more money out then what I had authorized. As soon as I started to ask the man on the phone, he started to say "Hello, hello, hello. Momentum Direct." Every time I tried to talked to him, he would start saying "hello, hello" again.
Then the man at Momentum Direct said they didn't have any record of me so he couldn't refund any money. When I gave him my order number, he started to say "hello, hello" again.
I went to my bank to see if there was anything they could do. They told me I needed to go to the police and fill out a report. The Policeman decided to call Momentum Direct, and when he did, the man tried to do the "hello, hello" again with the Policeman, but the Policeman wouldn't let him get away with it.
Finally the man at Momentum Direct asked for my order number and said they would refund me in 2 to 3 weeks. The Policeman said that was unacceptable and wanted to talk to his manager. But the manager was not going to be there until the next day at 2:00pm
I'm planning on going back tomorrow when the Policeman plans to call again.
