I worked in the Overland PArk office at NHCD. I was at times the Receptionist and at other times I worked in the customer service department. I see all the post on here about work from home employees being ripped off. I was the one who probably told you someone would call you back or that you would be recieving your deposit back. It was a lie. I was told to say those things. The truth is I would take a msg and the person that should have called you back would never answer there phone when it rang or I would see msg just thrown in the trash. You should have gotten your deposit back but they have such BIG money problems they can't even pay their in office employees.
Many times we would take our checks to the bank and they would bounce. Other times we wouldn't recieve a check at all. They have all kinds of excuses for that happening none of them are the truth. Worse then that is the way they treat their customers. Well let's start off by saying that what they do is ILLEGAL to begin with. They sell perscription to customers that are supposedbly from Canada... Still illegal but it wouldn't be so bad if the meds actually came from Canada. When I worked there less than a year ago they were coming from Africa (a third world country). I didn't mind that so much because I know medicine is expensive and most of their customers are elderly and on limited incomes but customers wouldn't even recieve their meds.
When all this was going on I worked in customer service. Day after day hour after hour I would be taking non stop phone calls from people wondering where they're meds were. We were told to tell them they would be coming by fed ex and should recieve them anyday. I believed them at first just like our customers did when all along they were still in Africa. I can't tell you the number of times little old ladies would call crying because they needed there meds to live and they hadn't recieved them yet from NHCD and didn't have any more money to go elsewhere to but them. One lady told me she had to choose between Christmas or her meds. She chose her meds and never recieved them. Half the time they did recieve them they were the wrong meds. One person had recieved the wrong meds and took them and ened up in a coma. I am sure their are more stories like that. I could go on with story afte story with how NHCD ripped someone off but instead lets discuss ways to make sure this dosen't keep happening to employees and most importantly their customers.
