I answered a 'free coupon' email... Got sucked in to choose at least one product from a couple of dozen; e.G., Blockbuster, car rental, hoodia (which I chose)... Etc... 20060227 [TRU GENIX 800-7571279 UT US]
The bait was a sample of hoodia, free, but for $3.95 shipping. Such a deal, right? Did get the sample. 20060315.
Next comes a zap of $46.90 20060315 [TRU GENIX 8007571279 888-2540054 UT US]. Did get those capsules 20060418.
A third zap came 04/13 Debit TRUGENIX*8007571279 800-757-1279 UT US $99.41. Yup, did get the pills, and am getting skinnier by the day (hah!). But getting angrier since the telephone demand to stop this hasn't worked. Someone does answer, but sounds scripted.
The final zap 06/13 Debit PUREHEALTH 8884367847 888-4367847 UT US $99.41. But did receive capsules.
Now, there is no way to exclude a payee from a credit card account—banks haven't progressed to this function yet—so I'm going to have to cancel this account and establish a new one. This requires the need to inform a dozen or so payees that I have a new account... Grumble, grumble.
Basically there is no way I can punish these scoundrles as an individual. I guess I'm lucky that the only thing I have lost is my innocense.
