Dr. George Lim, Dds (aka) George D. Lim Dmd, Inc. Care Credit, GE Money Bank
Dr. George Lim, Dds, George D. Lim Dmd, Care Credit, GE Money Bank i had coverage but my dentist maxed out my care credit account anyway! Ripoff

Day one: Absessed tooth, in major pain. I have coverage through Denti-Cal, but do not have the card with me and can not provide an acount number. But not to worry, they have a solution so that I won't have to suffer any longer.

After being examined, it is determined that I need much more work done than just a tooth extraction. The "primary treatment plan" they show me totals $6881.00

The dentist, more accurately, Emily, (the person who takes payments and arranges for credit for Dr. Lim) gets me approved for credit via "Care Credit" a consumer credit card program from GE Money Bank. Emily assures me that the credit approval is just to cover the proceedures which are not covered by Denti-Cal. Most of the proceedures outlined are covered by my insurance, some of which need pre-authorization from Denti-Cal, just a formality.

Emily tells me there will be no interest and no payments for one year. Nothing is said as to the amount of available credit, or that they will charge for all proceedures in advance.

They MAXED OUT the care credit account to the tune of $5500.00!!

All of the worked performed on Day One was COVERED BY MY INSURANCE! They didn't need to charge a dime in order to get paid... They didn't even need pre-authorization for any of the work done on day one.

That's not all!!! Come to find out later that Dr. Lims' office charged Denti-Cal too!!!

They got PAID TWICE!!! They billed Denti-Cal after charging me up the A*. And now they refuse to corect it.

Meanwhile, Care Credit wants thier money... No payments for a year, a lie!!! With out making minimum payments each month, the interest was jacked up from 0% to 22.98% plus all the late fees and over limit penalties (remember they maxed me out from day one)...
