A trial sample of Hoodia has resulted in unauthorized charges to our credit card. Hoodia blocks attempts to cancel even before trial period is over. This was cancelled because of health reasons. It was cancelled by certified mail and return of their unopened product, but after whole month they do not answer or reply to our communications.
Instead they sign us up with e-curves, a totally unknown company, after the cancellation. Trying to reach ecurves is difficult but eventually a very polite lady says they are are separate companies and there is nothing e-curves can do. We can cancel e-curves by going online with special codes which she did give us, and which I immediately did. However she emphasised that we are still obliged to pay their subscription of 28.97, and if we don't they will turn us over to "collection".
She could not answer why an elderly woman with significant medical problems would ever sign up for a membership if she was aware of it before hand. She said that would have to be answered by Hoodia. She gave a new phone number to contact Hoodia just for these reasons. Dialing this results in a message to call e-fitness since that is a different company. Talk about an endless circle of calling. There were 40 callers ahead of me if I were to wait. The next call to them gives an abrupt similar message before a dial tone.
Hoodia blames e-curves, and e-curves blames Hoodia and they both demand payment. The bank is researching it, though both claim if I dispute they will institute a lawsuit.
