I was a member of Lucille Roberts and I moved from Brooklyn New York in September to North Miami Beach, FL. I called the customer service number 212-734-9717 to cancel my account with Lucille Roberts Fitness since they don't have any locations in Florida. I spoke to a representative that told me in order to cancel my membership I would have to fax over a copy of my current bank statement and a utility bill with the new address on it to 212-734-4151. I faxed over my documents to the number I was provided thinking everything would be resolved since the representative seemed so helpful.
Two months later I received a letter that was forwarded to my new address in Miami, FL from a collection agency. Apparently my account was not closed w / Lucille Roberts Fitness and that they were continuing to bill my bank account that I also closed from the move to a new state.
I called the customer service number 212-734-9717 again and was informed by a supervisor named John, who didn't want to give me his last name, that my account was never closed and that there isn't any records of me even calling in September. I was highly upset due to the fact one of their representatives advised me in September to fax over my personal documents and there is no record of it. Now my personal banking information is floating around and is maybe in the wrongs hands not to mention they sent me to collections for $47. I'm highly upset and disappointed in their institution.
