I moved to the Gilbert location when the Tempe location closed. The only reason I went was because my Trainer was going to move as well. After a few weeks, I found out that my Personal Trainer was not getting paid and then ended up quitting.
I asked what I had to do in order to get out of my contract and was told that I either needed a DR's note or a documented move of 25 miles away from the club. The next time I called, I asked for a Director and was asked to take a message and one would call me back. I have also tried emailing the corporate office as well. I never heard from anyone.
The next time I called, I asked again for a Director and was told that they didn't have one. I mentioned the bad publicity that they were getting and the staff member on the phone said, "Well, I haven't been paid either."
I have not been able to get anyone on the phone or via email that can help me. I am already disputing with my bank the $250 that I spent on personal training and just want out of my contract.
I would be interested in seeing if anyone else has been sucessful in getting out or if everyone is having the same problems that I am having.
