After they split up, Sasanow invited Vikki to his 40Th birthday party celebration at his house at Seashell Ave Mermaid Beach, Gold Coast where everyone consumed a lot of alcohol. Vikki was asleep in a room on her own and Sasanow crept in and raped her.
Dr Neal Jones was sleeping in the room next door. He and Sasanow played golf together, along with Ross Jones another dentist and Neal’s brother. Ross Jones has a practice at Pacific Fair, Shopping Centre, Broadbeach.
Vikki also was having an affair with her doctor, Dr Neal Jones of the Broadbeach Family Practice, Queensland Avenue Broadbeach. He was her doctor and that of her young son’s. Vikki’s ex husband David Garland knew Jones because they were musicians along with David Garland’s half brother Dr Phillip Kay.
Jones use to come over to her top floor flat at Broadbeach in Rose Court, Second Avenue, after Maddison was asleep as it was just down the road from his surgery.

Vikki was best friends with the wife of Neal Jones - Leigh Jones, a nursing sister. The relationship between Neal and Leigh Jones was constantly one that was on again off again.
After Vikki Garland came back from a 12 month trip overseas with her husband David Garland they were separated within 3 months. Vikki and her son Maddison, went and looked after the home belonging to David Garland’s half brother Dr Phillip Kay, in Keen Rd Ashmore. Dr Kay was going through his own marriage break up with his then wife Allison and was to travel overseas.
Whilst Dr Phillip Kay was overseas Allison turned up and kicked Vikki and Maddison out as she thought that Vikki and Dr Phillip Kay were having an affair. Vikki and Maddison went down the road and stayed with Leigh Jones who also had a house in Keen Road. Leigh Jones also ended up having an affair with George Sasanow the dentist and Dr Phillip Kay.

Whilst Vikki was living at Dr Phillip Kay’s house she and Leigh Jones went out for a night at the Southport Yacht Club. There Leigh Jones introduced Vikki to a man she had been out with several times by the name of "John”. He invited Vikki onto his yacht that was moored at the club for Sunday morning breakfast supposedly along with some others.
Vikki accepted and went down into the galley to look at a book. She was the first one on board, and then she got raped a second time, by this John guy. Once again not reported to the police, because of what her ex husband might say about her child and not being responsible. Leigh Jones collected her with all of her clothes torn and took her to the Mermaid Beach medical centre for an examination. After getting to know Leigh Jones, and finding out how vindictive she was, I thought that this might have been a set up. Wendy (David Garland and Phil Kay’s sister) and Brian Fenn and myself all think that it was possibly this guy, John Collins, who many years later was charged with a lot of rapes on his yacht, quit a few in Queensland and at the Southport yacht club.

I started dating Vikki and within 3 months we were living together with Maddison and my son Ross, who is 10 years older than Maddison. We had a house warming party when we all shifted into a house I rented at Clear Island Waters. Dr Neal Jones and Leigh Jones came along.
Before the party Vikki, I said to Vikki, that I was not interested in associating with any of her old bonks, if she wanted to herself, by all means go ahead, but leave me out of it. I had recently come out of a 25 year marriage. My son and I needed a doctor at the Gold Coast and we needed a local doctor after shifting down here. I asked Vikki if she knew of a good one, and she recommended Neal Jones who was her doctor and said "he had a good bedside manner”. We became friendly with Neal and Leigh Jones (they were back together) and went out with them on about 6 or 7 occasions.
One Christmas day afternoon, Vikki introduced my son and myself to Dr Neal Jones, his wife Leigh, their children, his brother Ross Jones, another dentist, at the Jone’s household. Sasanow’s name came up in conversation. It wasn’t warmly received by anyone

On one of my visits to Dr Neal Jones I spoke to him as a professional as I was concerned that Vikki had been raped twice and the aids virus. He said not to worry about the aids rest everything would be alright.
I also spoke to him about George Sasanow, because when Vikki was shopping for the house warming party she was at the Oasis shopping centre at Broadbeach and Sasanow surprised her in the supermarket and came up and said hi and kissed her. She told me about this after the house warming party and said she felt like being violently ill.
Dr Jones explained that he played golf with Sasanow and that he was an approachable sought of guy.
He suggested I go and have a coffee with Sasanow. Well that is not me. I made an appointment to see him at his surgery. When I got into the room I asked the young female assistant to leave as I had something to discuss with the dentist. He told her to leave and I hopped out of the chair and pushed him up against the wall and held him there by his throat.
I introduced myself as Vikki Garland’s new partner and told him I knew what he had done to her on his dentist chair and how he raped her at his house on his 40th birthday party and how he had held his hand over her mouth. I also mentioned what he had done to her on the golf courses and "I thought that golf was a gentleman’s game”. He took advantage of her just after she had split with her first husband, David Garland.
He was frightened and cowardly also his bottom lip was quivering. He said "but I didn’t put my hand over her mouth”
I also said "I don’t give a dam about what he did to Leigh Jones”
"It is only a bully who rapes women, you should not be a practicing dentist, you should be in jail”
I told him in a nice way, that if he ever saw me or her to cross to the other side of the road or footpath or there would be repercussions. I then offered to pay for the visit and he would not take any money, so he showed me out the back door of the surgery.
One Friday night Dr Neal Jones, Leigh and the 2 of us went out to dinner. Jones said to me that night that he wanted me to know that having sex to him with a woman was just like he was putting his penis into a whole in a piece of timber.
I thought to myself, why he is telling me this, and my suspicions were aroused yet once again?
Once we were driving through Labrador on the esplanade and she pointed out a block of units where Dr Jones lived in, when he was separated from Leigh and Vikki had visited him there on several occasions, and she stipulated she never had sex with him.
Very shortly on a Sunday, Dr Jones and his wife Leigh and the 2 of us went a weekend steam train trip, staying in Toowoomba. On that trip and on previous occasions I notice Neal Jones grabbed Vikki when kissing her, on the bottom. He wasn’t grabbing other woman that he kissed hello and good bye like that.
Like Sasanow, Jones had no ethics at all. None of them should have been having an affair with any of their patients. Vikki became upset one night before she confessed to the Jones affair, after she found out I had asked for a script for Viagra from Jones, and I thought then, well he is my doctor, why is she getting upset at that, and is she hiding something?
During the next week Vikki and I went out for an Italian meal. She had consumed a lot of wine before she went out, and during the meal I said to her, "you and Neal Jones must be very good friends”.
There was traffic going past and she misunderstood what I said and her reply was "How did you know I had an affair with Dr Neal Jones? ”
"I said I didn’t you just told me and now I understand what you meant by having a good bedside manner and what he said to me about the piece of timber. It all makes sense now”
I was furious about talking to Neal Jones about my personal life and the fact that he did not stop me and refer me back to Vikki, now knowing what I told him and worrying about aids after he had been having an affair with her. I had already had a vasectomy in my earlier marriage so pregnancy was out of the question. I had spoken to Jones and he knew that Vikki had had sex with Sasanow on his dentist chair under the influence of laughing gas.
Like Sasanow, Jones had no ethics at all. None of them should have been having an affair with any of their patients. I soon found another doctor and he is aware of the whole situation and I am still with him, to this day.
I wrote a letter to Dr Neale Jones about how upset I was with his ethics and how disgusted I felt talking to him about things not knowing he had a relationship with one of his patients, Vikki. He had a directors meeting and disclosed the contents of my letter.
About 6 months went by and I began a job in Orchard Avenue, demonstrating software.
It was right down the end of the Dolphin Arcade opposite the old tattoo shop and close to the Sugar Shack night club owned by Tim Ward, the loan shark. It was very close to Sasanow’s surgery, and Vikki was a relieving administration secretary working for the Raptis Group, situated only a couple of buildings away from the showroom. We use to have lunch together in the showroom.
The Sugar Shack opened for lunch and had settings on the footpath.
In the software showroom there was a lounge with its back to the road, where clients could sit and see out down Orchard Avenue.
I looked up from the lounge and down to the Sugar Shack and who should be sitting at a table having a cigarette staring at Vikki but George Sasanow. He could not see me, but I could see him. I told Vikki he was watching her, he did it for 5 minutes before I walked out and told him to "move on or pay the consequences”
We had a CCTV security camera running in the showroom at all times and there were security cameras all throughout Orchard Ave, the night club precint. Sasanow could not help himself, he walked straight into the showroom, with a smirk on his face.
I stayed seated whilst he was standing looking down at the 2 of us, and said to Vikki, "did or did not this man rape you? ”
Vikki replied, "Yes he did.”
Sasanow said he had a different version of things that happened that night, there was plenty of alcohol consumed.
At that, seeing he had already admitted the rape to me, when I had him pinned against the wall in his dentist surgery, some 12 months earlier, I jumped out of the lounge and pushed him out onto the footpath. Things happened quickly and Sasanow fell to the ground with facial cuts and broken sunglasses. He obviously tripped on the edge of the showroom floor and fell to the ground injuring himself.
Two days went by, and 2 of the local police called in on foot patrol, wanting to speak with me at the police station and be interviewed over an assault. Constable Brad Miller handed me his police card and I had to ring Surfers Paradise police station to make an appointment to see him, and make sure he was at work.
I did not inform Vikki about this, and a day later I called Constable Brad Miller on 07 5583 9733 and had to be there for the interview that day between the hours of 8 am and 2 pm.
When I arrived there he read me my rights and started asking me questions. I asked him if I could have a talk to him, "off the record”
I told him about the 2 rapes that have happened to Vikki, both when she went under the name of Vikki Garland, when Maddison was small. I told him about Sasanow, the sex on the chair with laughing gas, the names of the doctors and counsellors we had seen and a list of all people that were aware of it. At that stage with the rape at Southport Yacht club, John Collins was just starting to make some headlines in South Australia, for rapes happening down there.
Miller went away and saw the CIB and came back and said he was letting me go, as it was not in the interest of the public to have me charged over the Sasanow thing. Miller did say, he most likely would have done the same thing to Sasanow, knowing that Sasanow took advantage of her when she was very vulnerable after the break up with David Garland, her husband. He was telling Sasanow to drop the charges as it would come back on him tenfold.
Brad Miller is now a Sergeant at the Surfers Paradise police station.
