While employed by Gentle Dental, I learned of a few disturbing facts about this company. This is the most greed money hungry company I have ever experienced. The Portland Downtown office Manager is the rudest. She explaining the job to me, it is the resposibility of everyone to bring in the money regardless. Disciplined for empty appt time slots (we have to call patients and beg them to come in for check ups) Every patient will have an Orthodontic referral regardless if needed. She explained that they dont take state funded insurance because they dont deal with that class of people and there is no money in it.
A patient came in and received $4000 of care credit (dental work credit) and we were told by her that she wants every cent of that credit. Each office has a daily $ that is expected daily, it goes toward each office's bonuses. I have over heard the Portland Downtown manager and the Beaverton manager talk about other employees and what they think of them in front of me and other employees. The reason I'm writing this is because I believe that patients deserve the best health care possible, regardless of financial status or walk of life. Once you come in for your first visit, I'll bet you have lots of undiscovered dental work needed. Even the doctors are required to bring in a certain dollar amount or need to find other employment. So Sad! They do have some wonderful doctors. The managers really need training on how to treat people, they are rude, deceiving, and very very greedy. True colors do shine through...
