I am a sales rep from Fido phone services and we are always getting calls in about third party charges. They blame us and think we have the ability to credit them the back they were billed. It has to stop. 75% of calls is about that very matter. And 75% of people don't realize they have signed up for it until its too late. It has to stop. This is only ONE of the thousands of third party companies out there. And we wonder why we are in a state of financial crisis. We need to stop defending wars and start fighting the attacks that are getting us through our insecurities & cell phones.
The third party normally has no legal rights in the matter, unless the contract was made for the third party's benefit. What benefit does a third party have? They think they know everything. The satisfaction of helping out a person or customer with a piece of entertainment. But are they really helping without the customers truly knowing? Morally, is it legal? Why should we trick our fellow humans in order to make a buck. It seems to be a manipulation of sorts. Half the people who are being charged have no idea they even signed up for iit in the first place. What is wrong here? They are being mislead or mistold about services they did not approve of.
