Problem using Red Card

I purchased several iPads today for Christmas gifts using my Red Card. I attempted to use my Red Card later in the day and was denied. I called customer service to ask that my line of credit be increased and was told that lines are reviewed periodically but that nothing could be done. I am a regular Target customer and have an excellent credit rating. The result I received today was very unsatisfactory. I would like someone to contact me with an explanation. Thanks.
