I am disappointed by Target 's changes overall. Since the remodel of my store in Irvine, some of my favorite things are missing replaced by the "UP" brand which I find to be low quality. I believe they moved to that lesser quality brand to stay at a low price point but it the product is of low quality... How many more will they really sell? My guess is that Target still has the same profit margin that they've always had, but the customer is stuck with a poor product.
Yesterday I stopped after work to pick up some cleaning supplies and a few HBA items. I walked in the door and headed to the restrooms first. Ugh... Yuky; stall locks were not working (I had to try three stalls before I found one that ALMOST stayed locked.) No paper towel available to use when you exit... So most people are reverting to using seat covers the grab the door handle (at least that's what I saw). I will try not to go in there again. Ladies restroom needs a remodel.
I am blown away by the things made in other countries that Target keeps on their shelves. I look at things before I buy them and it seems that six out of ten times, things are made out of the country. Maybe it's just what I buy??? I don't know but I'm betting most of the UP products are made outside of the USA. Please change this. OUR MONEY NEEDS TO STAY IN THE USA!!!
I loved my trips to Target. It was fun going with friends or family members to buy essentials and browse. Now, it's not as much fun.
I do have to say, the girl who worked in cosmetics was nice, helpful and knowledgeable. She was the bright spot during my excursion.
I hope this review will help Target revise a few of the changes that they've made in the last 3- 5 years. Finally, I believe that what I've written here is an "echo" of what other's who left messages before me have stated.
