We purchased this sectional in March. About a year ago we noticed that it the surface was starting to flake off. Now it is totally all flaking off. Everytime you sit on the sofa, you have pices of brown material all over your clothes and all over the floor. I have pictures of the sectional if you would like. The store we purchased the furniture from is out of business. I feel this is an Ashley Furniture problem, the sectional is obviously defective. We paid $1400 for this piece of junk that only lasted less than 2 years. We do not have any children or pets and take care of our stuff. This sectional should be holding up. I have pictures of the sectional and a copy of the receipt if you would like.
