Target's pattern of overselling

Target had a sale for a Nikon l105 for $99 and I ordered two of them online. One for a gift and one for myself. I recieved the first one and they canceled my second order due to being "oversold"

I called and spoke to a manager since they had once again listed the product online. I was told at first if I ordered it then I could call back with a number he gave me and they would apply a discount since I had purchased it at that $99. I called back after ordering it again at the $199 price and was told that they do not price match their online stock.

I am now going to be writing not only an email but an actual letter as well. Since finding out that Target also canceled orders with PS3's, Other camera's, Missoni, ETC it is an established pattern.

Does Target not know how to keep track of their own inventory, ever? Why is this a pattern with them to constantly over sell products, cancel customer orders, and then not give them anything at all for their trouble or hassle?

And what kind of ridiculous business policy is "we don't price match ourselves"? Why would I want to shop at Target if other stores DO price match themselves?

Target needs to fire whoever does inventory because they clearly do not know how to do their job.

I am not happy that now I was not able to keep a camera for myself. The one I have will now have to be for my siste
