We tried to order furniture for our retail store at this company's showroom, the Daryl Jenkins Showroom at the World Trade Center, and were told by a woman who identified herself as Felicia, the Sales Manager for Legacy Trading Company, that our store would probably not want to work with Legacy because their products weren't really appreciated by "black people"! (We are of African-American heritage.) When we demanded to speak to the company's owner, she also told us that "they don't deal directly with any blacks who try to order the line because they're just too difficult to work with".
After that, you couldn't pay us to work with these bigoted, rude "businesspeople"! It also made sense after this that we didn't see any ethnic individuals working at their store in the West Village either, except for one or two people who seemed to be doing all the manual labor and not working directly with the public. This company is run by bigots and promotes racism! Do not shop there unless you are a racist bigot too! P.S. No Handle's comment below is at best condescending and at worst pompous and racist too! He either works at this bigoted company or is friends with someone there, but he shouldn't question other people's experiences until he's walked a mile in their shoes! If he doesn't have something constructive to add, he should keep his racist mouth shut!
