12/9 I ordered a cake and was explicit about how the cake should be made. They make a totally different cake and ruined his birthday. This CAKE WAS THE ONLY THING THAT HE WANTED FOR HIS 53RD BIRTHDAY! I had to call the police because she said that if I came to the bakery she was going to call them. They both agreed with me, and had questioned her on why she didn't give me a copy of the order. I left, went home got out a cookbook, pulled up numerous copies of Coconut Cakes on the Internet, my husband is a kind and gentle person, he simply asked her to get a knife and cut the cake open so he could see it and she refused, but instead brought out 4 plastic spoons, which caused him to have to dig into the cake like a bowl. He then said that not only was the outside completely wrong, but the inside was too and asked them to throw it away, he did not want them taking it home eating it after they took our money. They would not throw it away, it was uneatable at that point, we had been forced to cancel his Birthday Dinner Party, call and cancel the guests and had no dinner or cake. So on his way out, there was a little trash can, and he dumped it in there! They called the police, which if they came, could have given them a ticket for wasting the police department's time. All of this because they messed the order up and would not refund our money. I told her that I would report her to everyone that I could and that is what I am doing. The scary thing is that they make wedding cakes and can you imagine receiving a wedding cake that was totally not what you ordered? I told her that I have had two small business and the customer was always right, she said not her. My husband later that night said "So the Customer is always wrong"? She said "Yes!"
