I have loved Planteris Nuts for more than 30 years. For me, these were the conventional of quality against which additional nuts were evaluated.in the last 2 yrs, I Have observed broad modifications within the quantity of sodium about the nuts. Regular nuts (ie: not lightly salted) occasionally have hardly any sodium or occasionally a great deal to consume. It would appear that quality-control has rejected.
A worse problem occurred recently. I purchased A - 16 ounce can of Planter's cocktail nuts. They felt good in the beginning. Then I observed a sour flavor in my own mouth. I appeared within the can and noticed gas about the almonds and about the surfaces of the can, anything I usually do not notice. I suppose the nuts were rancid.
I understand nuts usually have little levels of aflotoxin, a very potent carcinogen. I had been worried the rancid nuts may have had large levels of aflotoxin.
Obviously, I will not be purchasing Planters nuts again.
