I recent acquired a Iphone 4 that is with verizon. I wanted to flash it over to metro pcs. So I was looking for the best way to do it and I cam across this video. Http://www.youtube.com/watch? V=jbV_-xbjxns&feature=plcp. I sent the guy an email. His email is [email protected] And he was more than happy to help me.
Which he recently changed it to [email protected]
He introduced himself as Jose and his other uploaded videos confirm that is indeed his name. He requested that I go out and buy a green dot card, because he didn't like using Paypal. His excuse for this was "I am tired of receiving charge backs and disputes, and people trying to screw me over." I was hesitant, but he assured me that he would not screw me over. So I spent $60 bucks on the card and gave him the card number so he could get paid.
He said that flashing my phone remotely would take an hour and that he would call me back because he was going to be on the phone with metro transferring my Meid. So I waited an hour and I checked my card account and it was empty. I attempted to contact Jose by text, but he did not respond.
So I thought the worst and began trolling the internet. I searched his phone number in google which is 702-706-747 and I found a person selling a laptop using that number online.
So I used my google voice number and asked if that lap top was still available. Jose immediately responded. And was very anxious to unload this laptop. So I had him give me a meeting place. He gave me a location that was close to his house.
I said I wasn't comfortable doing transactions unless there were cameras. He immediately gave me the address of his apartment complex and told me there was a coffeeshop there with cameras. He gave me his Apartment address which is 2507 E 15th St LB 90804.
Jose than realized that my google voice number has only 3 different digits than my other phone number and proceeded to contact me through my other phone number. He told me to stop harassing him and to stop contact him.
I accused him of fraud and threatened to write this report if he didn't give me back my money.
We went back and forth VIA text. Him trying to explain to me that I have no chance of prosecuting him and me explaining to him that I do indeed have him by the balls.
I simply explained in a very professional manner to him that I would simply do the following.
1. Show the police his and my email conversation with him giving me his number.
2. Request transcripts from my phone company. To show that we had an arrangement. And that he didn't deliver. And when accused of fraud he didn't deny it, but in fact he told me I had no leg to stand on. Those texts also include the address he gave me for buying the laptop.
3. That I would contact Youtube and notify them of my police report and have them suspend his youtube account completely shutting his scam down.
4. If the police did want to prosecute that all they had to do was go into his adsense account and get his information.
After playing games with Jose for the last 3 days since 9/14 I have decided to publish this, because Jose has not contacted me nor returned my money.
Please be careful he will say yes to all your concerns and will insist that you use green dot or some other untraceable way of giving him money. I hope no one else falls for this scam. Again the link to this youtube video is http://www.youtube.com/watch? V=jbV_-xbjxns&feature=plcp
