I've been reading all the complaints against Dish Network. I really wish I had read them prior to signing up! I won't get into the details of my issues with these crooks! It's all the same BS everyone else is experiencing. Lies about fee's, programming, asking for HD and getting SD... The list goes on and on not to mention the fact that service goes out regardless of the weather.
I cancelled my service in mid June for all of the reasons previously mentioned and many more. I was able to cancel my service with no ETF or any fees for returning equipment. I think I was able to do that by DEMANDING they send me a copy of my contract with my signature on it as I don't remember ever signing anything except to sign off on the installation. I also told them under no circumstances will I accept a standard contract with my name super imposed on the bottom. Well guess what happened then?
They quickly changed their tune..."we are so sorry for your trouble... We will not be charging you any fee's for cancelling " I then asked about the ridiculous fee to return recievers..." no Mrs... We will waive that cost"! It got me to thinking... Maybe their are many more people out there who didn't sign a contract or said contract was misplaced?! Ask them to produce a contract with your name on the bottom and be sure to mention that a superimposed signature on the bottom will not work for you!
