I had purchased an under-counter freezer from Iceland (the store), with extended warranty from Iceland. After 3 years of good service, my freezer stopped working.

Upon contacting Iceland, I was informed that the warranty contract had been transferred over to The Warranty Group.
I was then put in touch with TWG on 30/04 and was told the closest I would be able to get someone to look at it was 07/05.
On 07/05, I noticed a missed call but no message. I felt it could be from TWG contractor and called back (at a premium rate!), to be told that the repair man had taken ill.
After long disappointing conversation, I was told that my only options were the 10th or 11th, as TWG had only ONE person servicing my area. I then agreed to 11/05, but when I attempted to pinpoint a time slot, I was told I would be contacted by the person on the day.
Needless to say, on 11/05 the TWG contractor was a no-show - no phone call, no visit.
I subsequently contacted TWG on 14/05, to be told that the only days a call-out could be arranged for were Wed, Thurs, Fri. However, he did suggest he'd 'try another contractor' who could possibly contact me in under 24 hrs (I had insisted that Tues was the only day I would be available).
I await the results with baited breath...

After such a poor service using TWG (my first time with them - even though I did not choose them), I shan't be using them again, even if their premiums were the cheapest.
