Sony Rebates ripoff sony Camcorder Rebate Handycam Holiday Rebate 02-50905 Have submitted correct paperwork twice, called every 6 months and faxed 7 times with confirmation to get the $100 rebate for acamcorder purchased at Circuit City

I purchased a Sony camcorder at Circuit City on 12/26, specifically for the $100 rebate offered at the time. I mailed in all the required receipts and barcodes within 2 weeks, making copies of everything, even the barcodes. It was all correct.

Nearly 6 months later I called customer service to ask where the rebate was. I was told to send it again with the copies of original paperwork to ANOTHER address that handles the 'lost rebate claims not handled within 6 months. I mailed it again, certified, return receipt. They got it.

Six months after that, no rebate. I was told to fax it all again as there was still no record of it and why did I wait so long to follow up?! So I faxed, 4 times. I had confirmation, they got it again.

Two years later, I still don't have a check. They never questioned that I had sent the info, as though this happens all the time. I'm tempted to take the thing back with my gift receipt. It hasn't been used. Rip-off!!!
